M51 (my turn!)

Wow, everyone's got great shots of this tiny galaxy with digital cameras! I thought I would post my underexposed version with film. This is a 20 minute exposure taken with the 8" f/4 SN on Fujichrome 400F Provira slide film. I used an Olympus OM-1 and focused with an STI Stiletto focuser. The photo was hand guided with an Orion 960mm guidescope and a 5mm eyepiece. Minimal post processing done in Adobe Photoshop 7.

Have fun with your LPI

Don't forget to use your LPI to image deep sky objects. The images are by default very noisy but its suprising what can be captured, and above all it's great fun. All images LXD75 SN10 / LPI (Back garden in less than ideal conditions) Adjusted contrast and colour curves in software.
AR-6 with Guide Scope

My AR-6 with the Orion 80mm mounted and a bit of extra counterweight to balance it out. Didn't have enough space in the room to fully expand the legs for this pic.
